SCAAA MEMBERSHIP

ACCESS MEMBERSHIP FORM

We are a Dual Membership State, so when South Carolina High School Athletic Directors become a member of the SCAAA, they will also be automatically enrolled as a member of the NIAAA when they pay dues. Currently this fee is $130.00.  Learn more about the NIAAA below.  Renewal and new enrollment in membership is through Finalforms/AMP. When you go to the membership form you will go to the AMP membership portal. If you have any questions concerning Dual Membership, click on the “use membership” button at the bottom of the membership portal page or email Jerry Linn at gmlinnjr@gmail.com .  SCAAA membership:

• Includes $20,000 Accidental Death Insurance for each member. (This coverage includes school and non-school related deaths.)

• Includes a representative on the SC High School League Executive Committee

• Provides access to accredited Leadership Training Courses from the NIAAA

• Includes basic Leadership Training Course for new principals and athletic directors

• Includes access to a quarterly online newsletter

• Participate in Mentor program for new Athletic Directors

• Attend the Spring Conference for Athletics

• Attend the annual Hall of Fame Banquet to recognize outstanding retired Athletic Administrators

• Dual Membership or Associate Membership available

• Membership is for one year, beginning and ending at our spring conference in March each year, regardless of when obtained

Associate Membership

Principals, District AD’s, Assistant AD’s and Middle School AD’s may join the Dual membership but are not required to do so. However, they are encouraged to join as an Associate Member with the SCAAA. The annual Fee for an Associate Membership is $50.00. SCAAA membership runs the same time frame as the dual membership – March to March.



NIAAA MEMBERSHIP

If you are involved in administering interscholastic athletics at either the high school, middle school or junior high level, you should join the National Interscholastic athletic Administrators Association. The NIAAA is a national professional organization administered by and for athletic administrators for the purpose of:

• Promoting the professional growth and image of interscholastic athletic administrators

• Promoting the development and prestige of state athletic administrators organizations which will contribute, in cooperation with state high school associations, to the interscholastic athletic program of each state

• Providing an efficient system for the exchange of ideas between the National Federation of State High School Associations and state athletic directors organizations and individual athletic administrators

• Preserving the educational nature of interscholastic athletics and the place of these programs in the curricula of schools
